Carol A Jester (Suchy)
Carol Annette Jester (nee Suchy) of Mukwonago, WI. passed away peacefully on January 16, 2018, age 82. Carol, daughter and only child of George and Ann Suchy (nee Mrnak), was born on April 26, 1935 in Fargo, ND.
Carol's love for adventure and the outdoors was evident through her solo travels, visiting a son in the Peace Corps in Nicaragua, and visiting her children in Michigan, Minnesota, New Mexico, Colorado, and New York. She regularly hiked at the Kettle Moraine State Forest and at local nature trails. She swam many miles in Ottawa Lake and biked hundreds of miles around North Prairie, stopping to take photographs and to draw scenic pictures. Her sense of humor and quick wit, along with her intelligence and interest in genealogy and current events made for exceptionally interesting conversations filled with laughter and love.
Carol was a proud member of the first graduating class of Catholic Memorial High School and was a graduate of Marquette University. For a period of time she was an editor at the Dousman Index and a freelance writer with her articles published in the Waukesha Freeman and the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
Carol was the loving mother of Michael Jester (deceased), Cathy Jester, Anna Jester, Chuck Jester, Chris (Steve) Bissen, Mark (Jean) Jester, Paul (Christina) Jester, Steve (Laura) Jester, Pete (Jen) Jester and Kelli (Steve) Greentree. Proud grandma of Cindy (Derric) Akin, John Allison, Quinn and Drew Bissen, Tessa Jester, Hailey Jester, Megan, Sophia, Elizabeth Jester, Nate and Zoe Jester.
A celebration of life for Carol will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on January 28, 2018 at Country Springs Hotel, 2810 Golf Road, Pewaukee, WI 53072. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Carol can be made to Friends of Wisconsin State Parks, or to Doctors Without Borders.
