Obituary for Annabelle Patricia Freyhoff

Annabelle Patricia  Freyhoff
Lifelong La Crosse resident, passed away peacefully with her family by side at the Congregational Home, Brookfield, WI at the age of 94 years. The daughter of John and Anna (nee Schlutter) Sherman. She was baptized, confirmed and married at the First Ev. Lutheran Church of La Crosse. Annabelle attended the old Central High School and graduated in January of 1941. She later worked for the Trane Company in the Advertising Dept. On August 29, 1943 she married Edward L. Freyhoff. He preceded her in death on June 30, 2001. Annabelle was active as a Girl Scout Leader and also served on the Board of Directors of the YWCA at the time they were building on 12th and Main Street in 1968.

Annabelle is survived by her daughter, Lisa (Randall) Dobbs; granddaughters, Megan (Shannon) Weeth and Courtney (Colin) Dagnon all of La Crescent, MN. She is further survived by four grandchildren, four nieces, five nephews, thirty-seven great nieces and nephews; and other friends. Annabelle was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; brother, Frederick and sisters, Evelyn, Eilleen “Jackie” and Charlotte and her dear friend, Betty Benders.

A visitation for Annabelle will be held on Thursday, November 16, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the 1:30 p.m. funeral service at the chapel of Oak Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to The Shriners Hospital for Children, 2025 E River Pkwy, Minneapolis, MN 55414 or a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated. The family of Annabelle would like to extend appreciation to the caring, compassionate staff of the Congregational Home of Brookfield and the loving caregivers who became her dear friends.
