Obituary for Allen A. "Al" Bethke

Allen “Al” A. Bethke, of Waukesha, passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2017 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at the age of 73. He was born on January 20, 1944 in Milwaukee, the son of William and Antonia Bethke. Al retired from Milwaukee Envelope after 20 plus years of service and in his retirement, he enjoyed working as a Crossing Guard for the city of Waukesha. He was an active member and volunteer at Bridge Church. Al loved ice fishing, bowling, and was a huge football fan. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, especially his grandson.

Al will be missed by his daughters, Jeanna (Norman) Kohnke of Greenfield and Jill (Dave) Liesenfelder of Waukesha; and grandson, Hunter Liesenfelder. He is further survived by three step-grandchildren, six step-great grandchildren, two brothers, and one sister. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Judith.

The memorial gathering for Al will be held at Bridge Church, 1314 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha, WI 53186 on Saturday, March 4, 2017, from 11:00AM until 1:30 p.m. The memorial service will begin at 12:00 p.m.

Memorials are appreciated to Al’s family.
