Obituary for Harry Neal Wiedmann

Harry Wiedmann was born to eternal life December 13, 2016.

Born January 7, 1923, to Otto and Amelia (Rittel) Wiedmann in Dallas, South Dakota. At age 13 he enrolled at Northwestern Lutheran Academy, a prep school in Mobridge, South Dakota, where he graduated in 1940. He attended Northwestern Lutheran College in Watertown, Wisconsin, graduating in 1944. He graduated from Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary in 1947.

Harry married Rola Arndt of Kenosha, Wisconsin, on June 20, 1948.

He was ordained July 18, 1948, and served 54 years in the public ministry. He served congregations at Circle/Presserville, Montana; Faith Lutheran in Billings, Montana; St. John’s in Burlington, Wisconsin; St. Peter’s in Helenville, Wisconsin and Mount Calvary in Waukesha, Wisconsin.

He continued post graduate studies and was awarded a Masters of Sacred Theology in 1984.
Harry was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Tony, and his wife, Rola. Harry and Rola were blessed with seven children: Lynn (Celeste), Wanda, Sandra (Don) Dall, Tamara (Steven) Steiner, Joel, Tim (Yen Lane Chen), Lorna (David Gebhard). He was blessed with fifteen grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.

The visitation for Harry will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the 11:00 a.m. funeral service at Mount Calvary Ev. Lutheran Church, 1941 Madison St. Waukesha, WI 53188. The Rev. Michael Turriff will be officiating. Harry will be laid to rest next to his wife privately in Helenville, WI.
