The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Jerie Lapp can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Obituary for Jerie Lapp

Geraldine “Jerie” Lapp was born to Eternal Life on Sunday, December 4, 2016, age 87 years. Jerie was the beloved wife for 55 years of the late, Dr. Samuel E. Lapp, who preceded her in death in 2001. She was born June 13, 1929 in Green Bay, WI, grew up in the Glenwood City area and eventually moved to Waukesha where she married the love of her life, Sam Lapp.

Dear mother of Sandie(John) Stippich of Pewaukee, Michael Lapp of Waukesha, Patrick (Cindy) Lapp of Ft. Atkinson, Joy Grenz of Watertown, and Timothy (Bret Dougherty) of Madison. “Special Sister”-in-law to Larry (Pat) Lapp of Yorktown VA and mother-in-law to Pauline Lapp of Waukesha and Carol Lapp of Ft. Atkinson.
Devoted Grandmother to Christopher (Wendy) Stippich, Matthew (Melissa) Stippich, Nicole (Ross) Collura, Cindy (Todd) Bourdo, Melissa (Brian) Coy, James (Shauna) Grenz, Andrew Lapp and Blake Lapp.
Great-grandmother to Jakob, Caden, Kaitlin, and Ben Stippich; Angelina, Antonio and Dominic Collura, Ellie and Charlie Bourdo; Samantha Wileman, Harmony and Josephine Coy; Dillion and Natalie Grenz; Kennedy and Lincoln Lapp.

Loving sister to Janet Alvin and JoAnn Miller and sister-in-law to Fred Luther.

Jerie was preceded in death by her parents Gen and Nels Melby; husband, Sam; infant daughter, Cindy Lou; son, Terry Lee; grandson, Joseph Patrick; sisters, Joyce Dummer, Judie Luther; sister-in-law, Patricia Mitchell; brother-in-laws, Donald Dummer, Kenneth Miller, Frank Alvin, and William Mitchell.

Through the years Jerie was a Cub Scout and Boy Scout Den Mother, a Sunday and Bible School teacher, an active, proud member and officer with the Waukesha VFW Post # 721 and The Wisconsin Chiropractic Association Women’s Auxiliary. She also was the receptionist/secretary for many years at her husband’s Chiropractic office in Milwaukee. Her vast collection of over 400 elephants was amazing to all who viewed them, and she shared the joy of her collection with family and friends until the Alzheimer’s took away that pleasure.

Mom, Grandma, Great- Grandma we will love and miss you forever!!

The visitation for Jerie will be held on Thursday, December 15, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the 1:00 p.m. memorial service at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd. Waukesha, WI 53188. Entombment will immediately follow at Prairie Home Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials are appreciated to the Salvation Army of Waukesha, 445 Madison St, Waukesha, WI 53188, or the Waukesha VFW Auxiliary Post #721, 709 N Grandview Blvd, Waukesha, WI 53188.
