Gerald Peter Bellart
Gerald Peter Bellart, passed away on Friday, November 11, 2016 at the age of 86. He was born on September 19, 1930 to Anna Jaworski and Thomas Bellart, the youngest of 4 siblings Roger, John and Carmella. Jerry was 16 when he met Barbara Charapata working at Childs Restaurant in Milwaukee. Jerry entered the Navy in 1949 during the Korean War and served for 4 years prior to marrying Barbara in 1952. As a young father, Jerry loved to camp, fish and hunt. He loved spending time with his family and was an inspiration to his children. Later in life, his passions were golf and woodworking. After retiring, Barbara and Jerry moved to Sun City, Arizona where they bought a home on a golf course. Jerry continued to golf whenever possible. He was always trying to recruit his children and grandchildren to join him in a game. Jerry was a devote Catholic who attended church on a regular basis.
Jerry will be missed by his devoted wife, Barbara (nee Charapata); loving children, Denice (Philip) Jones of Fort Atkinson, Donna (Bill) Meyers of Merton, Daryl (Marlon) Carter of Laquey, MO, Danielle (Bob) Leonard of Dousman, and Dean (Julie) Bellart of Wales. He is further survived by his granddaughters, Lisa Caras and Dana Lamme; grandsons, Jason Klingman, Milo Carter, Nicholas Bellart, Brad Bellart and Spencer Meyers; great-granddaughter, Luna Lamme; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
The visitation for Jerry will be held on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at St. Jerome Parish, 995 S. Silver Lake St. Oconomowoc, WI, 53066 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. The Memorial Mass will immediately follow at 12:00 p.m. Noon. The Rev. Thomas Brundage will be officiating.
