Step Up Aunt

Marrying into a large family can be intimidating at times. But when Aunt Judy was around it was always easier as she would always greet me and try to strike up a conversation and try to make me feel even more welcomed. This went on ever since I married in up until her last days.  Once we started having kids then she turned up her intensity even more. Aunt Judy was always tryng to make sure our kids got a little something from her at each Birtthday and Christmas.  And then there was the back to school supplies each year before school started. As you can imagine ther e is alot of supplies to get before school. Aunt Judy seemed to make it a game with how much she could get for so little spent. And boy was it appreciated. Reams of paper, pens and pencils galored. She even tried to get pencil cases all in different themes for each kid. This went on all the way through highschool. What was also interesting was hearing how and where Aunt Judy got the deals that she did and that sometimes having to bring them home then on a bus. Aunt Judy was very resourceful in her shopping and her giving. IAnd thene ther waas the state quater hunt. Aunt Judy made it her mission to make sure all the kids had all the state quarters for thie collection. I told her in the hospital thanks for being such a great Aunt to our kids. She smiled and said thanks for sharing them with her. I often thought maybe  she was trying to step in for a grandma that couldn't. Thanks Aunt Judy for being such a great Aunt to us all.  Love  Brent
